Marvel Television is reportedly bringing back the (un)Dead streaming project, Strange Academy, with a new writer. The project, inspired by Marvel Comics' Strange Academy, has been in development for nearly three years, with rumors of a cast including Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, and more. However, the project hit a pause in 2023 due to Marvel's shifting priorities and the Netflixification of its streaming service. Now, as 2025 comes to a close, Marvel Television is expressing renewed interest in developing Strange Academy and is currently looking for a new writer to take over the project. The series, created by Skottie Young and Humberto Ramos, would focus on a new generation of magic users being trained in the mystic arts at a Hogwarts-esque school opened by Stephen Strange. Classes at Strange Academy would be led by an array of Marvel mages, including Doctor Voodoo, Wanda Maximoff, Wong, Magik, and Agatha Harkness, and would cover a range of topics from astral projections to interdimensional geography to xenoanatomy. If the series makes it out of development, it's possible that Regan Aliyah's Zelma Stanton, who played a critical role in Marvel Television's Ironheart, might have a featured role in the project as is the case in the comic.
