Get ready, gamers and movie buffs! Lionsgate is hinting at some seriously exciting news: potential AAA video games based on the John Wick and Saw franchises are in the works! This is HUGE, and here's the breakdown.
Back in 2023, whispers began circulating about expanding the John Wick universe into the gaming world. Now, the buzz is getting louder. During a recent Q2 2026 earnings call (transcribed by Seeking Alpha), Lionsgate Motion Picture Group chairman Adam Fogelson revealed a growing interest in developing high-quality, AAA games based on their popular intellectual properties (IPs).
Fogelson specifically highlighted John Wick and Saw as prime candidates. He stated, "Our AAA game opportunities and other gaming opportunities around John Wick and Saw and some others that we’ll be announcing soon, we’re seeing increased interest and increased opportunity, and we remain on schedule. So I think in totality, you are going to see a meaningfully additive financial opportunity coming in the coming years."
But here's where it gets interesting... Fogelson didn't specify whether these games would be standalone titles or potentially involve crossover tie-ins, similar to Fortnite, which has already featured both Saw and John Wick. Could we see a John Wick game where you're battling it out in the world of Saw? The possibilities are tantalizing!
For Saw fans, this is particularly exciting. The last dedicated Saw game, Saw II: Flesh & Blood, released in 2010, wasn't exactly a critical darling. A fresh, high-quality Saw game could be a major win, especially after the recent developments with Saw XI.
And this is the part most people miss... Lionsgate has a treasure trove of other horror IPs, like Blair Witch and American Psycho. Could we see games based on these properties too?
What do you think? Are you hyped for a John Wick or Saw AAA game? Which other Lionsgate properties would you love to see get the video game treatment? Share your thoughts in the comments!
