Fresno City College Campus Update: Reopening and Water Line Repairs (2026)

Exciting News: Campus Set to Reopen on February 5!

February 4, 2026 —

A special message from the President:

We are happy to announce that Fresno City College will resume normal operations on Thursday, February 5. We genuinely appreciate your understanding and support as we tackled a significant challenge involving damage to the college's primary water lines.

However, it's important to note that further assessments on the water lines servicing Building A are still necessary. Therefore, we strongly advise all faculty, staff, and students to refrain from consuming tap water in Building A until we complete additional testing and receive conclusive results. While you can use the restrooms in Building A, please make sure to adhere to the instructions displayed on the signs throughout the building.

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Building Services Department for their unwavering dedication and assistance during this challenging period. This week, several events were either postponed or relocated to accommodate our schedule and previous commitments.

Looking forward to seeing everyone back on campus soon!

Warm regards,

Denise Whisenhunt, J.D.

President
